Bilibili Gaming have been forced to make a roster change due to their poor start to the 2022 League of Legends Pro League Summer campaign. The franchise had earlier announced the demotion of AD carry Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan to the academy side, Bilibili Gaming Junior. The organization also revealed that, for the time being, Zhang “Rise” Sheng will fill in for the player.??

While Rise has no LPL experience, his team has been performing well in the academy competition this season. Bilibili Gaming Junior won the 2022 LDL Spring Split regular season with an 18-4 record before taking first place in the playoffs with four best-of-five series wins.

??However, Bilibili Gaming’s main squad has fallen short of expectations this year. After five weeks of play in the tournament, the team is in 14th place with a 2-6 record. Bilibili have only won eight of their last 22 games. With such a star-studded roster, this falls far short of expectations.??

Doggo appeared to be one of Asia’s most promising up-and-coming players after leading PSG Talon to the MSI 2021 playoffs and nearly advancing out of the LoL Worlds group stage that year. He joined Bilibili Gaming at the end of last year alongside Uzi, who had come out of retirement.??

Doggo will now have to earn his way back into the squad after spending some time in the academy division. ??Rise will have his chance to shine when Bilibili Gaming take on LGD Gaming on Wednesday, July 13.??

Previously known as Doge, Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan started his professional esports career in 2019 with the Taiwan-based franchise ahq Fighter. He spent over 11 months with the now-defunct franchise before joining the sister company, ahq esports club, where he spent over a year.

??He made his way to Beyond Gaming in February 2021, but he was only there for a short while before being loaned out to PSG Talon. Although he spent only 28 days with PSG Talon, he made a good impression and led the team to the MSI 2021 playoff tournament. ??He only joined Bilibili Gaming late last year and has been with the franchise for slightly over six months.

The botlaner is only 19 years old and has garnered a few awards to his name, including the Most Potential Player at the OCS Summer 2021 in his time with Beyond Gaming and the Rookie of Week 2 at the LPL Spring 2022 with Bilibili Gaming.
